47th BCS application starts

Application for 47th BCS started today at 10.00am on Sunday, December 29, and continue till January 30 at 11:59pm.

A notification issued by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) revealed that, for the first time, the age limit for applications is set at 32 years.

According to PSC sources, the application fee has been reduced to Tk 200, down from Tk 700. For candidates from minority groups, the disabled, and third-gender candidates, the application fee is Tk 50. Additionally, the marks for the BCS oral exam have been reduced from 200 to 100.

In the 47th BCS, a total of 3,487 people will be appointed to cadre positions and 201 to non-cadre posts. The majority of vacancies are in the health cadre, with 1,331 assistant surgeon positions and 30 assistant dental surgeon positions available.

Earlier, the application for this BCS was scheduled to start on December 9. However, the PSC suspended the acceptance of applications for the 47th BCS due to the delay in issuing the notification regarding the reduction of application fees for government jobs.
