48th BCS results published: 3,120 recommended for appointment

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the final results of the 48th Special BCS, recommending 3,120 candidates for government service.

According to PSC Public Relations Officer Matiur Rahman, the recommendations include 2,820 candidates for the post of Assistant Surgeon and 300 candidates for the post of Assistant Dental Surgeon.

The written examination for the 48th Special BCS (Health) was held on July 18, 2025, with 41,025 candidates taking part.

Results of the written test were published on July 21, where 5,206 candidates qualified—4,695 for Assistant Surgeon and 511 for Assistant Dental Surgeon posts.

Following the viva voce, PSC finalised the list of successful candidates on Thursday (September 11).
