Five passengers were killed after a truck rammed over a CNG-run autorickshaw in Kabirhat upazila of Noakhali. The accident took place around 2:30pm in front of Alia Madrasa on the Kabirhat–Basurhat road on Tuesday (November 4). According to police, three passengers died on the spot, while three others were injured. Fire Service and police personnel rescued the injured and took them to Noakhali General Hospital, where doctors declared two more dead. One passenger remains under treatment. Shahin Mia, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kabirhat Police Station, said, "Police are working at the scene. Details regarding the matter will be provided later."

নোয়াখালীর কবিরহাট উপজেলায় ট্রাকের চাপায় সিএনজিচালিত অটোরিকশার পাঁচ যাত্রী নিহত হয়েছেন। মঙ্গলবার (৪ নভেম্বর) দুপুর আড়াইটার দিকে উপজেলার কবিরহাট-বসুরহাট সড়কের আলিয়া মাদরাসার সামনের সড়কে এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। পুলিশ জানায়, মঙ্গলবার বিকেল ৩টার দিকে উপজেলার কবিরহাট-বসুরহাট সড়কের আলিয়া মাদ্রাসার সামনে ট্রাকচাপায় ঘটনাস্থলে অটোরিকশার তিন যাত্রীর মৃত্যু হয়। এ সময় আহত হন আরও তিনজন। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে ছুটে যান ফায়ার সার্ভিস ও পুলিশ সদস্যরা। সেখান থেকে আহতদের উদ্ধার করে নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক দুজনকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। আহত আরও একজন এখনও চিকিৎসাধীন। কবিরহাট থানার ওসি শাহীন মিয়া গণমাধ্যমকে জানান, তিন জন ঘটনাস্থলেই নিহত হয়েছেন। বাকিদের উদ্ধার করে হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হলে সেখানে আরও দুজনকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন চিকিৎসক। পুলিশ সদস্যরা ঘটনাস্থলে কাজ করছে। বিস্তারিত পরে জানানো সম্ভব হবে।
