5 more children die of measles symptoms, total 464
Five more children have died in the country in the last 24 hours due to measles symptoms. None of the children who died during this period from 8am on Sunday to 8am on Monday were diagnosed with measles. At the same time, 1,405 more children across the country have developed measles symptoms, according to the Directorate General of Health Services' Monday report.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, 389 people have died of measles symptoms and 75 more have died after being diagnosed with measles since March 15. The total number of deaths has stood at 464.
Since March 15, 54,911 children in the country have developed measles symptoms. Of these, 42,868 children have been admitted to hospitals, of whom 38,980 have recovered and returned home. The Directorate General of Health Services also said that measles was detected in 7,856 children during this period.
