5 more COVID-19 patients die in Bangladesh
In the last 24 hours, Bangladesh has reported five new deaths due to COVID-19, along with 36 new confirmed cases.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) update on Sunday, June 22, a total of 621 samples were tested nationwide, with 36 testing positive for the coronavirus.
Among the five deceased, four were men and one was a woman. Three deaths occurred in Chattogram, while one each was reported in Dhaka and Rajshahi.
Since January 1, 2025, the DGHS has tested 5,598 samples, identifying 433 COVID-19 cases and 16 deaths during this period.
With the latest cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bangladesh since the pandemic began has reached 2,051,978, while the death toll stands at 29,515.
