5 more die with measles symptoms in 24 hours

Five people have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. A total of 1,104 people have died from confirmed measles and symptoms this year.

During the same period, 1,339 people were newly infected with suspected and confirmed measles.

The information was provided in a press release sent from the Directorate General of Health Services control room on Tuesday, September 29.

It said the number of patients identified with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours was 1,255, while the total number of measles patients from March 15 to September 29 was 190,519.

The number of confirmed measles patients in the last 24 hours was 84, while the total number of confirmed measles patients from March 15 to September 29 was 21,392.

From March 15 to September 28, a total of 168,655 people were hospitalised with measles symptoms. During the same period, 161,798 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Five people died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,003 people died with measles symptoms from March 15 to September 29.

No one died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, while 101 people died from confirmed measles from March 15 to September 29.
