5 secretary-level-officials sent on compulsory retirement
The government has compulsorily retired five secretary-level officials in the public interest, citing the completion of 25 years of their service.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a separate notification in this regard on Thursday (June 19).
The officials are included, Bangladesh Employees Welfare Board Director General (Secretary) Kazi Enamul Hasan, National Planning and Development Academy Director General (Secretary) Sukesh Kumar Sarkar, Land Appeal Board Chairman (Secretary) Muhammad Ibrahim, National Development Administration Academy Rector (Secretary) Md. Shahid Ullah and OSD Secretary Mohammad Salah Uddin.
Additionally, Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation Chairman (Grade-1) Lipika Bhadra has also been sent on compulsory retirement.
"These officers have completed 25 years of service and the government has decided to retire them from government service in the public interest," the notification read.
"However, they will receive retirement benefits as per the rules," it added.
