50th BCS written exams to begin Apr 9

The written examinations for the 50th BCS will commence on April 9. Candidates requiring scribes for the written tests must submit their applications by March 10.

Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat Public Relations Officer S M Matiur Rahman confirmed the information on Wednesday afternoon, February 25.

According to PSC plans, the likely date for publishing the written examination results has been set for July 30. Subsequently, viva voce exams will begin on August 10, and the final results will be published on November 25.

Earlier, the preliminary examination for the 50th BCS was held on January 30. According to results published on February 10, 12,385 candidates qualified in the preliminary test.

As per the circular issued on November 26, a total of 2,150 posts will be filled through the 50th BCS, including 1,755 in various cadres and 395 non-cadre positions.

In cadre-based recruitment, the highest number of 650 will be taken in the health cadre. Plans include recruiting 200 in the administration cadre and 185 in the education cadre.
