The country's Border Control and Security Agency (AKPS) has detained 51 Bangladeshi nationals from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport for deportation after they entered Malaysia on tourist visas with fake hotel bookings and documents. During interrogation, the detainees admitted that they would join work after coming to Malaysia on tourist visas.

This information was given in a report by state news agency Bernama on Friday (March 21) afternoon.

The report said that 51 Bangladeshis were detained as suspects for using fake hotel bookings and trying to evade immigration checks at Terminal 1 of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). They will be deported to their home countries soon.

The Malaysian Border Control and Security Agency (AKPS) said that 67 arrivals were suspicious of their unusual behavior and movements when they arrived at the terminal on Thursday (March 20). Later, 51 of them were detained.

The AKPS also said that during the inspection, one person tried to escape but was caught by the officers on duty. They were running around instead of coming to the main immigration gate. After being detained, some admitted that their real intention was to find jobs in Malaysia.
