59 police officers promoted to ASP

The government has promoted 59 officers of the Bangladesh Police to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP).

A notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday (September 8) confirmed the promotions.

The order, signed by Deputy Secretary of the Police-1 Branch Md. Mahbubur Rahman on behalf of the President, takes immediate effect in the public interest.

According to the ministry, the promoted officers include members of the 34th, 35th and 36th BCS batches, as well as officers elevated through departmental promotions.

The order also instructed the officers to submit their joining letters to the Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry through the proper authority.
