All newspapers in the country will remain closed for five consecutive days on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. The Newspaper Owners Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) has announced the holiday from May 26 to 30.

The decision was announced in a notice signed by NOAB President Matiur Rahman Chowdhury on Monday.

According to NOAB's decision, no newspaper in the country will be published or marketed from May 27 to 31 due to the holiday. Daily newspapers will reach readers again as usual from Monday (June 1). However, although the print editions will be closed, the online editions and digital portals of most newspapers will remain open for readers during the holiday.
