A mobile court has seized approximately 6,000 litres of illegally hoarded diesel during an operation in the Patenga area of Chattogram city. The joint operation was conducted by the Chattogram district administration and Bangladesh Police on Friday afternoon. Patenga Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mostafa Ahmed said that along with the seizure of illegally hoarded diesel, two individuals have been detained for initial questioning. Three pumps used for loading and unloading diesel were also confiscated. He added that preparations to file a case over the incident are underway.

চট্টগ্রাম নগরীর পতেঙ্গা এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়ে প্রায় ৬ হাজার লিটার অবৈধভাবে মজুত ডিজেল জব্দ করেছেন ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালত। শুক্রবার বিকেলে জেলা প্রশাসন চট্টগ্রাম ও বাংলাদেশ পুলিশ যৌথভাবে এই অভিযান পরিচালনা করে। পতেঙ্গা থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা মোস্তফা আহমেদ জানান, অভিযানে অবৈধভাবে মজুত করা ডিজেল জব্দের পাশাপাশি দুইজনকে প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের জন্য আটক করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া ডিজেল লোড–আনলোডে ব্যবহৃত তিনটি পাম্পও জব্দ করা হয়। তিনি আরও জানান, এ ঘটনায় মামলা করার প্রস্তুতি চলছে।
