60kmph storms likely in 6 districts
Storms with maximum wind speeds of up to 60 kilometres per hour may sweep over six regions of the country within 1:00 pm, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said.
The information was provided in a warning issued for the country's river ports until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17.
According to the forecast, temporary gusty or squally winds from the west or north-west direction at 45-60 kilometres per hour, accompanied by rain or thundershowers, may occur over Mymensingh, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions.
Additionally, the river ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal No. 1.
