6-year-old girl abducted, raped and murdered in Feni

A tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the Temuhani area of Feni Sadar Upazila, where a six-year-old girl was allegedly abducted, raped assaulted, and murdered. The child’s body was recovered late Wednesday night from a tank inside a local brick field.

According to the victim’s family, they had been residing in a rented house near the Sonali Brick Field, adjacent to Temuhani Bazaar. The child went missing on Wednesday morning, prompting an extensive search by family members and locals. Her body was eventually discovered around 12:30 a.m. inside a tank at the brick field premises.

Police have detained a brick field worker named Russel on suspicion of involvement. Family members and local residents believe he may be directly linked to the crime.

Feni Model Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge confirmed the recovery of the body and stated that an investigation is currently underway.

The incident has sparked outrage and grief across the community, with calls for swift justice and increased safety measures for children in the area.
