7 ambassadors ordered to return home

The Foreign Affairs Ministry has instructed the country’s seven ambassadors and high commissioners working in the embassies of the United States, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Germany, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia to return home.

This was informed in a notification signed by Director General of the Administration Department of the Foreign Ministry DM Salah Uddin Mahmud and issued on Wednesday (August 14).

They are Ambassador to Washington Mohammad Imran, Ambassador to Moscow Kamrul Hasan, Ambassador to Saudi Arabian Javed Patwari, Ambassador to Japan Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ambassador to Germany Musharraf Hussain Bhuiyan, Ambassador to UAE Abu Zafar and High Commissioner to TheMaldives Real Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad.

the separate notifications said, “You have been transferred to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka. Therefore, you are requested to leave your current duties and return to the headquarters in Dhaka immediately.”
