7 children died with measles symptoms

Another 7 children have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. In this period 1 thousand 327 children have been infected with measles and measles symptoms.

This information has been informed in the regular report related to measles of the Directorate General of Health Services on Wednesday.

According to the report no child has died by being infected with measles in the last 24 hours. From March 15 last till now 1 thousand 73 children have died with measles symptoms. And 104 children have died by being confirmedly infected with measles. The total number of deaths with measles and measles symptoms is 1 thousand 177 in total.

According to the information of the Directorate General of Health Services 128 children have been confirmedly infected with measles in the last 24 hours. On the other hand measles symptoms have appeared among 1 thousand 199 children. In this period 1 thousand 21 children have been newly admitted to the hospital and 1 thousand 26 have received the discharge certificate after finishing the treatment.

It has further been said in the report that the number of suspected measles patients in the country from March 15 last till Wednesday is 2 lakh 8 thousand 570. Measles has been confirmedly detected among 22 thousand 840 persons. In this period a total of 1 lakh 85 thousand 390 patients have been admitted to the hospital. Among them 1 lakh 77 thousand 698 have returned home after finishing the treatment.
