Police have arrested seven individuals on Saturday morning (August 16) for carrying placards of Sanatan Jagaran Mancha leader Chinmoy Krishna Das during the Janmashtami procession in Chattogram's Andarkilla. Abdul Karim, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station, confirmed this. The identities of the detainees have not been confirmed. "The procession organizers noticed the individuals holding the placards of Chinmoy Krishna Das and informed authorities. The detainees are currently under interrogation," the OC said. "Further details regarding the matter will be disclosed soon," he added.

চট্টগ্রামে জন্মাষ্টমী উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত শোভাযাত্রায় সনাতনী জাগরণ মঞ্চের নেতা চিন্ময় কৃষ্ণের মুক্তির দাবিতে প্ল্যাকার্ড প্রদর্শনের অভিযোগে সাতজন যুবককে আটক করেছে পুলিশ। শনিবার (১৬ আগস্ট) সকালে নগরীর আন্দরকিল্লা এলাকায় শোভাযাত্রা শুরুর কিছুক্ষণ পর এ ঘটনা ঘটে। আটককৃতদের পরিচয় তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে জানা যায়নি। এ ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে কোতোয়ালি থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) আব্দুল করিম জানান, শোভাযাত্রার আয়োজকরা কয়েকজন যুবকের হাতে চিন্ময় কৃষ্ণের মুক্তির দাবি সম্বলিত প্ল্যাকার্ড দেখতে পেয়ে পুলিশকে খবর দেন। এরপর পুলিশ তাদের হেফাজতে নেয়। বর্তমানে আটককৃতদের জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ চলছে।&nbsp;পরবর্তীতে বিস্তারিত তথ্য জানানো হবে।
