Law enforcers have recovered 748 arms which were looted from different police stations, police lines, police outposts and other places, till Sunday. Police Headquarters issued a statement in this regard on Sunday. According to the statement, a total of 20,195 rounds of bullets, 1,472 tear gas shells, and seventy sound grenades have also been recovered. A large number of arms and ammunition were looted from the police stations and other protected zones after attacking law enforcers before and after August 5.

ছাত্র-জনতার অভ্যুত্থানে আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের পতনের পর সারা দেশে বিভিন্ন থানা ও পুলিশ ফাড়ি থেকে লুট হওয়া ৭৪৮ টি অস্ত্র উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। পুলিশ সদর দপ্তরের তথ্যমতে, রবিবার পর্যন্ত সারা দেশ থেকে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ৭৪৮টি অস্ত্র উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া ২০ হাজার ১৯৫ রাউন্ড গুলি, ১ হাজার ৪৭২ টি টিয়ার গ্যাস সেল ও ৭০টি সাউন্ড গ্রেনেড উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। রোববার রাতে পুলিশ সদরদপ্তর থেকে পাঠানো এক বার্তায় এসব তথ্য জানানো হয়। এছাড়াও কারও কাছে অবৈধ অস্ত্র থাকলে নিকটস্থ থানায় জমা দেওয়ার জন্য অনুরোধ জানানো হয়।
