9 more children die with measles-like symptoms

Nine more children have died in the country in the last 24 hours due to measles infection and symptoms. This information was given in the regular report on measles by the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday. The report said that this measles death occurred between 8am on Wednesday and 8am on Thursday.

According to the report of the Directorate General of Health Services, 605 children have died with measles symptoms since March 15. 93 children have died of confirmed measles. The total number of deaths stands at 698.

The report also said that in the last 24 hours, 893 more people have been reported to have measles symptoms across the country. The number of patients who have shown measles symptoms since March 15 is 96,653.

According to the information of the Directorate General of Health Services, 52 confirmed measles patients have been identified in the last 24 hours. A total of 11,442 people have been diagnosed with measles in the country since March 15.

Since March 15, 80,497 people have been admitted to hospitals with measles symptoms. Of these, 76,788 have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.

The report from the Directorate General of Health Services says that out of the 9 people who have died due to measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, eight are from Dhaka Division and one is from Sylhet Division.
