Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md Mokhles Ur Rahman said that nine more people will be appointed to the vacant secretarial posts in the ministries and departments in a day or two.

He gave this information in response to questions from journalists at the Secretariat on Sunday.

Mokhles Ur Rahman said that 12 people have been selected for the post of secretary in the meeting of four Superior Selection Boards. Most of them are qualified and deprived. None of them is on contract. Secretaries are being made from among those working in the service. There is a committee consisting of four advisors in this regard. The decision in this regard has been taken in that committee.

Currently, 10 ministries and departments are without secretaries. These are the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Bridges Division, Planning Commission, National Parliament Secretariat, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Ministry of Commerce, Planning Commission, Implementation Training and Evaluation Division, Statistics and Information Management Division, and Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.

Mukhles Ur Rahman further said, "Some of those against whom action has been taken have been sent to OSD, some to compulsory retirement. Another issue is that if various organizations and their own systems find that the incident really happened, only those allegations will be sent to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) regarding those who have been accused of committing economic crimes."

In response to a question, he said, "The entire list in this regard has been sent to the intelligence agencies. They will be considered after they arrive. There is a committee consisting of four advisors in this regard. That committee will analyze them and it will be done gradually. No decision will be made based on bias or anything. All decisions will be made through rules. It will be ensured that not a single officer is a victim."
