92 police members, including IGP, to receive police medals

A total of 92 police members, including Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir, are being awarded police medals in recognition of displaying courage and bravery, setting unique examples in service, investigating important and sensational cases, and innovative activities.

The information was conveyed in a notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday, September 21. It was signed by Nasrin Sultana, Deputy Secretary of the ministry's Police-2 branch.

The notification stated that a total of 92 police members are being awarded medals in four categories in recognition of displaying courage and bravery, setting unique examples in service, investigating important and sensational cases, and other innovative activities from March 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026.

The four categories are 'Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM)', 'Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM)-Service', 'President's Police Medal (PPM)' and 'President's Police Medal (PPM)-Service'.
