A glance into the poll schedule

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has announced the schedule for the 13th National Parliament elections. The announced schedule states that the 13th National Parliament elections and the referendum on the implementation of the July National Charter will be held on February 12.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin announced the schedule in his address to the nation at 6pm on Thursday.

Schedule at a glance
Last date for submitting nomination papers: December 29
Selection of nomination papers: December 30 to January 4
Appeals against the decision of the Returning Officer: January 11
Appeal will be disposed of: January 12 to 18
Last date for withdrawal of candidacy: January 20
Symbols will be allotted: January 21
Election campaigning will begin: January 22 and end on February 10 at 7:30am

Voting will be held in 300 parliamentary constituencies across the country.

The total number of voters in this election is more than 127.6 million.

More than 300,000 overseas voters have registered to vote.

Voting will continue from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The EC had earlier said that the parliamentary elections and the referendum will be held on the same day.
