A group is conspiring, everyone should be vigilant: Mirza Fakhrul

A group is conspiring to destabilize the country. For this, BNP Secretary General and LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir asked everyone to be vigilant.

He said this at a crowded public reception after Ruhia in Thakurgaon was declared an upazila on Wednesday afternoon (June 3). The reception was organized by the Upazila BNP.

The BNP Secretary General said, "Within just three months of assuming power, the government has taken steps to fulfill every election promise. One of them is to declare Ruhia and Bhulli in Thakurgaon district as full-fledged upazilas. The government has already taken practical steps to fulfill all its election promises by opening Thakurgaon University, Thakurgaon Medical College, Engineering College and re-opening the airport, and constructing EPZs.

He further said, "In the last three months, we have provided development assistance of Tk 72 crore to various institutions including madrasas and mosques in Thakurgaon."

Regarding the drug addiction of the youth, the LGRD Minister said, "The youth are getting addicted to drugs, we have to protect them from drug addiction. We have to build a social movement against drugs. The youth have to lead the future."

The mass reception was chaired by Ruhia Upazila BNP President Abdul Jabbar, and among others, District BNP President Mirza Faisal Amin, General Secretary Poygam Ali, and others spoke at the public reception.

In the meeting, Mirza Fakhrul was given a floral welcome by individuals and organizations from different levels of society as the architect of modern Thakurgaon.
