AB Party's central committee announced
AB Party's full-fledged central committee has been announced. The 102-member committee has seven vice chairmen and 10 joint general secretaries.
In addition, various secretary posts and responsibilities have been determined.
The committee was announced on Saturday (January 25) under the signature of newly elected AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju, says a press release.
The release said, “In the first meeting of the party’s elected executive council on January 19, a decision was made to form a full-fledged committee of the party. According to the constitution, the party chairman had earlier nominated three people to the executive council. They are Nurul Gaffar (UK), Siddiqur Rahman (Chattogram) and Sanwar Hossain (Jamalpur).”
Professor Major (retd) Abdul Wahab Minar has been elected as the senior vice chairman of the party. There have been several reshuffles of previous responsibilities in the current committee. Eight new people have been appointed as organising secretaries and eight as co-organising secretaries.
The party's joint general secretary Jobayer Ahmed Bhuiyan has once again been endowed with the responsibility of internal election management committee of the party. In addition, several grassroots leaders have been given responsibility for the main secretary positions in this year's committee.
Regarding the announcement of the new committee, AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman and General Secretary Asaduzzaman said the committee formed by the senior and junior members will start working soon.
Both of them expressed optimism that if the activities are carried out in accordance with the constitution, a disciplined tradition will be created in the party from the beginning.
