ACC summons ex-APS, PO of two advisers

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned two former officials associated with government advisers for questioning in connection with ongoing corruption investigations.

Moazzem Hossain, former Assistant Private Secretary (APS) to Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, adviser to the Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Tuhin Farabi, former Personal Officer (PO) and Student Representative to Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum, have been asked to appear before the ACC.

ACC Director General Md Akhter Hossain confirmed this on Thursday afternoon (May 15), saying, "Tuhin Farabi has been summoned for questioning on May 20, while Moazzem Hossain has been asked to appear on May 22."

Md Moazzem Hossain and Tuhin Farabi were recently removed from their positions following allegations of corruption. On April 27, the ACC announced that it would launch enhanced intelligence surveillance against them.
