Action if negligence regarding law-and-order improvement found against anyone in force: Home adviser
Regarding the operation that started last night to prevent theft, robbery and snatching, Home Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that if any negligence is found against anyone in the force during the operation, no one will be spared.
He said this in response to questions from journalists after laying wreaths at the graves of Pilkhana carnage victims at the Banani Military Cemetery at 9am on Tuesday (February 25) on the occasion of Jatiya Shaheed Sena Dibas Dibas.
Asked about the operation that started last night and how successful it was, the home adviser said, "You (journalists) will evaluate the success or failure. The way I have organised this operation, if there is negligence among any of my employees or members of the force, I will bring them under my control."
"No one will be spared here, be it the police, BGB, RAB, Ansar or the prison directorate, those who do not work properly will be brought under the law," he said.
Talking about the latest update on the operation, the adviser said, "I was thinking, you will give an update. You report the news truthfully, let's see if we take action or not. After media reports against the two SPs, we took action. We will definitely take action based on the truthful news."
