Advance train ticket sales for Eid from March 3

Bangladesh Railway has decided to sell advance tickets to ensure hassle-free travel for passengers ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. Online advance ticket sales will begin on March 3 to make the journey comfortable for people heading home for Eid.

Railway authorities announced this in a press release on Tuesday afternoon, February 24.

Return tickets will go on sale from March 23 to facilitate returning passengers.

According to Railway's decision, tickets for the western and eastern zones will be released online at different times to manage passenger pressure. Tickets for all inter-city trains operating in the western zone will be sold online every morning, while tickets for trains in the eastern zone will be sold every afternoon.

Authorities also informed that 5 pairs (20 trains) of special trains will be added this Eid.
