Adviser Farooki currently out of danger: Cultural Ministry

Cultural Affairs Adviser Mustafa Sarwar Farooki's physical condition is stable now and is currently under the close supervision of doctors, said the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

A press release signed by the ministry's senior information officer Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin on Sunday (August 17) said that doctors initially believe that Farooki fell ill due to excessive workload.

A board meeting of doctors is scheduled to be held at 3 pm today, where further decisions regarding Farooki's treatment will be taken, hospital sources said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs has requested everyone not to be confused by rumours or any information without reliable sources about Farooqui's physical condition.

Farooki suddenly fell ill while staying in Cox's Bazar on Saturday (August 16) night. Then, after 10 pm, he was brought to Dhaka by air ambulance and admitted to United Hospital.
