Advisory Council pledges support following Milestone crash

The Advisory Council met on Thursday at the Chief Adviser’s office to discuss the recent plane crash at Milestone School and College that claimed several lives and injured many others.

The meeting began with a condolence motion honoring the victims. Members observed a minute of silence and offered prayers for the departed souls.

In a resolution, the Council pledged all necessary government assistance to the families of those who lost their lives and committed to providing medical support to the injured. The Ministry of Education will work closely with school authorities to determine further steps.

The Council also decided to posthumously award state honors to the two teachers who died in the tragic accident. Specific details regarding the honors will be announced shortly.

Tomorrow, special prayers will be held at religious institutions nationwide to seek peace for the departed and speedy recovery for the injured. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will coordinate these efforts.
