The government has appointed Md. Ahsanul Haque, senior secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, as the new Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration. A notification issued on Sunday (October 12) confirmed his appointment on a contractual basis, effective immediately in the public interest. He replaces Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, who was transferred to the Planning Commission as a member on September 21. Since his departure, Additional Secretary Dr. Abu Shaheen Md. Asaduzzaman had been carrying out routine duties at the ministry.

জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়ের নতুন সিনিয়র সচিব হিসেবে সড়ক পরিবহন ও মহাসড়ক বিভাগের সিনিয়র সচিব মো. এহসানুল হককে নিয়োগ দিয়েছে সরকার। রোববার (১২ অক্টোবর) জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয় থেকে জারি করা প্রজ্ঞাপনে এ বিষয়টি জানানো হয়। প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়েছে, জনস্বার্থে জারি করা এই আদেশ অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে। এর আগে, চুক্তিভিত্তিক নিয়োগপ্রাপ্ত সিনিয়র সচিব মো. মোখলেস উর রহমানকে গত ২১ সেপ্টেম্বর পরিকল্পনা কমিশনের সদস্য হিসেবে বদলি করা হয়। তার বিদায়ের পর থেকে মন্ত্রণালয়ে পূর্ণ সচিবের পদটি শূন্য ছিল। এ সময়ে অতিরিক্ত সচিব (সিপিটি অনুবিভাগ) ড. আবু শাহীন মো. আসাদুজ্জামান রুটিন দায়িত্ব পালন করছিলেন।
