Air ambulance from Qatar delayed due to technical glitch

The special air ambulance sent by the Emir of Qatar to take BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to London for advanced treatment has been delayed due to technical glitches.

BNP Chairperson's Press Wing Member Shairul Kabir Khan said that the flight was delayed due to technical glitches and the details of the air ambulance's departure from Qatar will be announced later.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said at a press conference at the Chairperson's office in Gulshan on Thursday (December 4) evening that an air ambulance with the latest facilities has been sent on the personal initiative of the Emir of Qatar, which has all the emergency facilities for advanced treatment, including an operation theater.

Mirza Fakhrul said: "The air ambulance was supposed to reach Dhaka tonight and was planned to leave for the UK with the leader of the country, Begum Khaleda Zia, early in the morning. However, the schedule has changed due to technical complications."
