Air Force pays tribute to Milestone teacher Masuka at her graveyard
The Bangladesh Air Force has paid tribute to teacher Masuka Begum, who was killed in the recent training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka. As a mark of respect, the Air Force offered prayers at her grave, laid floral wreaths, and presented a guard of honor.
On Friday (July 25) at around 2:30 PM, a 10-member delegation from the Air Force visited Masuka Begum’s grave in Sohagpur village of Ashuganj upazila in Brahmanbaria, where they performed the guard of honor.
Following that, they offered prayers at her grave and met with members of her family to express deep condolences and sympathy.
Speaking to journalists at the site, Squadron Leader Mashiur Rahman of the Bangladesh Air Force said, "Dhaka is a highly strategic area where ensuring security is extremely important for us. However, the dense population around the city presents many limitations for our flying operations."
He added, "Accidents can happen anytime, in any form. Training flights have been conducted in Dhaka since independence, but incidents like this are not frequent."
