AL pledgss to build efficient, smart administration

If Awami League comes to power again, it will provide enhanced and quality services to the people and establish good governance by building a citizen-centric, transparent, accountable, knowledge-based, welfare-oriented, integrated 'efficient and smart administration.

Awami League chief and Prime Minister Sheikh came up with the remarks while announcing the party’s election manifesto at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Wednesday ahead of Bangladesh’s next general election.

She said, "We are committed to creating an efficient, dynamic, information-technology-driven, corruption-free, patriotic, and public-welfare-oriented administrative system through merit-based recruitment. Over the past 15 years, Bangladesh has undergone a significant transformation. The Bangladesh of today is not mired in poverty or economic fragility. I can confidently say that today's Bangladesh is a 'changed Bangladesh'."

"During our tenure, we increased the enrollment rate, increased power generation, introduced social security programmes, introduced pensions for the elderly, widows, and the disabled. We also provided collateral-free agricultural loans to farmers," She added.
