All citizen services of DSCC remain suspended

All citizen services of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) remain suspended due to a work stoppage by supporters of BNP leader Ishraque Hossain and employee unions. With Nagar Bhaban locked, all services inside the building are unavailable. Additionally, the eight regional offices outside Nagar Bhaban have also been shut down.

DSCC Administrator Md Shahjahan Mia confirmed the matter to the media on Wednesday (May 21).

He said, “For the past few days, all citizen services inside the Nagar Bhaban have been closed. Today, the regional offices outside the Nagar Bhaban are also closed. As a result, we are unable to provide any citizen services to the residents of Dhaka South City.”

When asked whether there has been any discussion with the employee unions, he said, “We have informed the higher authorities about the matter. They will decide what steps to take.”
