Now JnU suspends all classes, exams on Sunday

Following Dhaka University, Jagannath University (JnU) has also announced the suspension of all classes and examinations on Sunday. However, activities related to JnUSU will continue, according to Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Rezaul Karim.

The university authorities made this decision after several earthquakes were felt in the capital today, causing panic among students.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Rezaul Karim said that repeated earthquakes in the capital have created panic among students and others. “Therefore, we are suspending classes and examinations tomorrow, Sunday. This is only for tomorrow. Although all classes and exams will remain suspended, JnUSU’s electoral activities will continue as scheduled. We have informed all concerned.”

He added that the university’s official activities will continue as usual. Student transport will remain suspended. Buses for teachers and staff will run as normal. All activities related to the JnUSU election will proceed according to the pre-announced schedule.

The new timetable for the postponed examinations will be announced in due course by the respective departments.
