All political parties announce to remain united for country’s interest: Asif Nazrul

In a meeting with Chief Advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus, all the political parties of the country have announced to remain united for the sake of the country's independence, sovereignty, existence and dignity, said Law Advisor Professor Asif Nazrul.

He said there were differences in political ideology among the leaders of the political parties present at the meeting on Wednesday. However, everyone spoke about unity on the issue of the country.

Calling for national unity, Dr Yunus held the meeting with political parties at the Bangladesh Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday (December 4) afternoon. Asif Nazrul spoke to reporters after the meeting.

Asif Nazrul mentioned that the meeting strongly condemned various anti-Bangladesh activities in India, the attack on the Assistant High Commission in Agartala, and propaganda against Bangladesh.

He said leaders of the political parties praised the steps and courageous role of the current government against such propaganda and expressed solidarity with the government.

Asif Nazrul said the political party leaders asked the government to address the issues more strongly against India. For this, they suggested to seek cooperation from expatriate friends and other friendly countries and to invite international news agencies.


In addition, he continued, it was suggested to increase the government's communication skills and legal expertise.
