All range DIGs, 5 metropolitan police commissioners transferred

Range Deputy Inspectors of General (DIGs) of all divisions of the police and commissioners of the metropolitan police outside Dhaka have been transferred.

The home ministry issued a notification regarding the transfers on Wednesday (August 21).

Following an order of the president, Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, deputy secretary of the public security division of the ministry, signed the declaration.

Dhaka Range DIG Syed Nurul Islam was transferred to the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah, Rajshahi; Chittagong Range DIG Nure Alam Mina to the Police Academy in Sardah; Sylhet Range DIG Shah Mizan Shafiur Rahman to the Railway Police; Rajshahi Range DIG Md Anisur Rahman to the River Police; Khulna Range DIG Moinul Haque to the Police Academy in Sardah; Barishal Range DIG Md Ilias Sharif to the Anti-Terrorism Unit in Dhaka; and Mymensingh Range DIG Md Shah Abid Hossain to the Tourist Police.

Additionally, Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner DIG Md Saiful Islam was transferred to the Police Academy in Sardah; Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner DIG Biplob Bijoy Talukder to the Telecom and Information Management Headquarters in Dhaka; Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner DIG Md Zakir Hossain Khan to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) in Dhaka; Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner DIG Md Mahbub Alam to the Railway Police in Dhaka; and Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner DIG Jihadul Kabir to the PBI in Dhaka.
