Allegations of tearing Eagle symbol posters in Rajshahi

Muhammad Saeed Noman, the candidate with the Eagle symbol nominated by AB Party in Rajshahi-2 (Sadar) constituency, has levelled allegations that his election posters are being torn and vandalised.

He made this allegation at a press conference by the roadside at Panchapatti intersection in the city at 7:15 pm on Thursday.

Saeed Noman said that while posters of other candidates in the city remain intact, his posters featuring the Eagle symbol are being systematically torn or cut with blades. He informed that although the matter has been reported to law enforcement agencies, no visible action has been taken so far.

He further stated, "I cannot understand why there is so much fear about my Eagle symbol. Perhaps they are apprehensive that through the ballot, the people will give an answer to their dirty politics."

The candidate claimed that at least 15 to 20 of his Eagle symbol posters at various locations in the city have been torn down so far.

In response to a question, Saeed Noman said he would submit a written complaint to the Election Commission regarding the matter.
