AMTOB leaders meet ICT Minister, PM’s Adviser

A delegation of the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB) paid a courtesy call on Posts, Telecommunications and ICT and Science and Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam (MP), and Prime Minister’s Adviser Rehan Asif Asad today (February 26).

The delegation led by its President Yasir Azman, also CEO of Grameenphone.

Other members included Ziad Shatara, senior vice president of AMTOB and managing director and CEO of Robi Axiata PLC; Johan Buse, vice president of AMTOB and CEO of Banglalink; Lt Col (retd) Mohammad Zulfikar, secretary general of AMTOB; and other senior officials from Grameenphone, Robi and Banglalink.

During the meeting, AMTOB leaders briefed the minister and the adviser on the country’s telecommunications landscape, highlighting the sector’s contribution to the economy and its potential for further growth.

Both sides expressed their willingness to work together on future initiatives aligned with the government’s development goals.
