Another child dies of measles symptoms, total death 719
One more child has died of measles symptoms in the country in the past 24 hours from 8am on Tuesday to 8am on Wednesday.
This information was revealed in the regular report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Wednesday.
According to the report, a total of 626 children have died of measles symptoms since March 15, and 93 children have died of measles with certainty. Together, the total number of deaths has reached 719.
In the last 24 hours, the number of patients who came to hospitals across the country with measles symptoms is 951. With this, a total of 85,509 people have been diagnosed with measles symptoms since March 15, the Directorate General of Health Services said.
At the same time, 167 confirmed measles patients were found, resulting in an increase of 12,132 confirmed measles patients in the country since March 15.
The child who died in the last 24 hours was a resident of Sylhet division.
When calculated by division, it can be seen that Dhaka division is at the top of the list of suspected patients, with 407 patients identified in the last 24 hours. Next in line is Chittagong, with 200; then Barisal with 122 and Sylhet with 69 patients.
