The Advisory Council has approved amendments to the law regarding the boundary redefinition of various constituencies in the National Parliament. The approval was given at a meeting of the Advisory Council on Tuesday, May 6, chaired by the Chief Adviser, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. After the meeting, Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul provided this information during a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital. He mentioned that the amendment was made following a request from the Election Commission.

জাতীয় সংসদের বিভিন্ন আসনের সীমানা পুনর্নির্ধারণ সংক্রান্ত আইন সংশোধনের অনুমোদন দিয়েছে উপদেষ্টা পরিষদ। মঙ্গলবার (৬ মে) প্রধান উপদেষ্টা অধ্যাপক ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূসের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত উপদেষ্টা পরিষদের বৈঠকে এ অনুমোদন দেয়া হয়। বৈঠক শেষে বিকেলে রাজধানীর ফরেন সার্ভিস একাডেমিতে আয়োজিত এক প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ে আইন উপদেষ্টা ড. আসিফ নজরুল এ তথ্য জানান। নির্বাচন কমিশনের অনুরোধের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে এ সংশোধন করা হয় বলেও জানান আইন উপদেষ্টা।
