Army Chief calls for more effective, inclusive and reform-oriented institutions

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman on Thursday underscored the importance of strategic leadership in addressing the contemporary challenges of nation-building. He emphasized that every institution in the country must become more effective, inclusive, and reform-oriented.

The statement came at the closing ceremony of the three-week-long Strategic Leadership Training Capstone Course 2025/2 held at the National Defence College in Mirpur Cantonment.

General Waker-uz-Zaman, who was the chief guest at the event, awarded certificates to 45 fellows who successfully completed the course.

The program attracted top military and civilian officials, including doctors, engineers, diplomats, business leaders, journalists, and academicians.

Highlighting the significance of the training, the Army Chief noted, “This program plays a crucial role in developing effective leadership capable of meeting evolving geopolitical, natural disaster, and security challenges.”

The ceremony was also attended by faculty members of the National Defence College, senior armed forces officers, and distinguished guests.
