The Bangladesh Army has increased the number of its camps to ensure the comprehensive security of the public and important government facilities.

According to a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), additional troops were deployed to Gopinathpur in Gopalganj's Sadar Upazila on Saturday (August 10), after protesters attacked an army patrol.

However, the situation is now under control, said an ISPR official.

Among the notable activities, the army successfully rescued four Japanese nationals through negotiation by managing a protest by job seekers in an EPZ in Narayanganj on Sunday (August 11).

The army is currently deployed at 537 police stations to support the Bangladesh Police, and normal operations have resumed at these locations.

They are also actively conducting operations to find missing persons in abduction cases across various areas of the country.

Apart from these, the Army is conducting day and night joint patrols to manage the law and order situation, with a particular focus on strengthening nighttime patrols.

Recently, various social media have been spreading mixed truths and falsehoods about army activities, which is causing confusion. The public is urged to halt all related propaganda.

ISPR's notification stated that the Bangladesh Army remains committed to supporting the people and the state. The public is urged to cooperate with the army in carrying out its duties effectively.
