Attack on business establishment for not getting toll in Bogura, case against Jubo Dal leader
Allegation has been raised against Jubo Dal leader Torikul Islam Samrat of Sherpur upazila of Bogura of attacking and vandalising a business establishment for not getting toll. Besides, allegation remains that this Jubo Dal leader threatened to occupy the land of the establishment and stop the activities of the establishment in Sherpur if toll was not received.
The allegation does not end here. Followers of the Jubo Dal leader also attacked and vandalised that business establishment. Along with this they allegedly looted Tk 1 lakh 10 thousand from the establishment.
The incident is of the office of Messrs Sayem Traders and Sayem Travels and Tours in Phalpatti area of Sherpur municipality.
The incident of attack and vandalism at that establishment occurred on September 10. Earlier allegation is that demand for toll and threat was given on September 8. On these incidents Director of the business establishment Abdullah Al Rafat filed a written complaint at the police station on September 10. Later yesterday Friday thana police recorded this complaint as a case.
In the case a total of 13 persons have been named making Senior Joint Convenor of Poura Jubo Dal of Sherpur Torikul Islam Samrat as the main accused. Along with that another 50 to 60 unidentified persons have been accused.
Abdullah Al Rafat informed that they are panicked due to the incident of demand for toll and attack. Attack was carried out on his establishment for not giving toll.
Until writing this report it was not possible to contact the main accused Jubo Dal leader Torikul Islam Samrat.
When asked Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sherpur thana police SM Moinuddin told Views Bangladesh that the accused have been absconding since the case. We also conducted a drive last night. Our drive to arrest the accused is ongoing.
