After an incident in New Delhi, a group of protesters attempted to breach security barricades and enter the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata.

The attempt was made around 12pm on Tuesday in front of the mission in the West Bengal capital.

Quoting PTI, The Hindu reported that protesters tried to break through barricades at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, forcing police to struggle to control the situation. Several hundred people had gathered to protest alleged attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.

PTI and The Hindu did not identify the organisers of the protest. However, videos shared by the media showed agitated individuals carrying saffron flags attempting to break the barricades. On Monday, a separate anti-Bangladesh protest was held in West Bengal under the leadership of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari.

Earlier in the day, a large protest also took place in front of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, where demonstrators tried to breach security barricades, prompting increased security in surrounding areas.
