Attempt to murder Khaleda: Case filed against actors Zayed Khan, Joy, Saju Khadem

A case has been filed against actor Zayed Khan, Shahriar Nazim Joy, Saju Khadem and 48 others for allegedly attacking BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s convoy and attempting to kill her in April 2015.

Md Shahriar Imam filed this case at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki Al Farabi. The court ordered the Motijheel Police Station to register the case.

Sheikh Selim, Sheikh Helal, Fazle Noor Taposh, Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu and Saber Hossain Chowdhury are also among the accused.

The case statement says that during the election campaign on April 20, 2015, the accused attacked the convoy of BNP chairperson Khaleda with the intention of killing her during a road rally organised in front of the BNP office.

They vandalised 12 to 14 vehicles in Khaleda Zia’s convoy, set fire to four motorcycles, and beat the activists. Khaleda’s security guards were also injured in the attack.
