Attempts are being made to delay election: Nazrul Islam
BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan has claimed that attempts are being made to delay the national election.
He made this remarks while addressing a discussion meeting and doa mahfil organized on the occasion of the 26th death anniversary of former BNP Secretary General Barrister Abdus Salam Talukder at the Institution of Diploma Engineers in Kakrail on Tuesday (August 19).
Nazrul Islam Khan warned BNP leaders and activists that if the people are dissatisfied with the behavior of any leader or activist of the party, the entire party will be affected.
He added that the entire party being affected means that the honour of Shaheed Zia, Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman will be tarnished.
He humbly requested the leaders and activists not to do such things among themselves and to prevent others from doing so, otherwise an undesirable situation may arise.
BNP Chairperson's Adviser Aman Ullah Aman, Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee, Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, Commerce Secretary Salahuddin Ahmed, Treasurer M Rashiduzzaman Millat and Abdus Salam Talukder's family members also spoke in the meeting.
