Awami League does not regret the slightest bit for injustice: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has reacted to the incident of egg pelting on National Citizen Party (NCP) member secretary Akhtar Hossain at JFK International Airport in New York, USA.
He condemned the incident on his verified Facebook page and strongly criticized the Awami League.
Mirza Fakhrul wrote in his post, what happened at the New York airport has once again proven that the Awami League does not regret its misdeeds. Everything that the Awami League has done till date will be judged by the law. "Be patient in the interest of the party and the country."
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain and six leaders from four political parties arrived in New York as part of the entourage of the interim government's chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Two eggs were thrown at Akhtar Hossain as he was leaving Terminal 4 of the airport at around 5 pm local time on Monday. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and NCP Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Zara were walking with him at the time.
Local Awami League supporters taunted Tasnim Zara and staged a protest. Akhtar Hossain was hit on the back by an egg, but he moved away without showing any reaction.
