Awami League will not be allowed to participate in politics anymore: Ishraque

Ishraque Hossain, the BNP-nominated candidate for Dhaka-6 constituency, has warned that Awami League will not be allowed to participate in the politics anymore in Bangladesh.

He came up with the warning at a gathering of freedom fighters and liberation war generation at the Central Shaheed Minar on Saturday (November 22) afternoon.

He said: "Sheikh Hasina is trying to prevent the elections with help of hidden criminals. Awami League will not be allowed to do politics anymore in Bangladesh."

Calling for unity and forgetting the differences among stakeholders , he said: "Division will weaken us. If all the parties of the July Movement cannot remain united, external enemies will turn us into a tax state."

He further said: "The country cannot be allowed to turn into a tax state. We have to forget all the differences and move forward for the country."
