Muhammad Aziz Khan, chairman of Summit Group, has dropped out of Forbes’ 2026 list of Singapore’s 50 richest people due to a decrease in the amount of his wealth. He had been on the list for several consecutive years after first making it in 2018. However, although he has been dropped from Singapore’s top 50 list, his name still remains on Forbes’ separate global billionaires list.

According to Forbes data, Aziz Khan’s estimated wealth was $1.1 billion in 2024 and 2025. This time it has decreased to around $1 billion. As a result, although he was close to the minimum threshold for making the 2026 list of Singapore’s top 50 richest, his name ultimately did not make the list. Last year he ranked 49th with wealth of $1.1 billion.

Aziz Khan, who was born in Bangladesh, is currently a citizen of Singapore and resides there. According to Forbes’ profile, his business empire Summit Group has investments in various sectors including power, ports, fibre optics and real estate, and the main operations of these businesses are Bangladesh-centric.

The combined wealth of Singapore’s top 50 richest individuals and families on Forbes’ 2026 list has remained at $239 billion, the same as last year. A minimum of $1 billion in wealth was required this year as well to make the list. Forbes said share ownership, financial information, stock market prices and exchange rates were taken into consideration in preparing the 2026 calculations. Market prices of August 14, 2026 were used for calculating the wealth.

Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Facebook, has again become the richest person in Singapore this year. His wealth stands at $32.9 billion. He has topped the list for the fourth consecutive time. Kwek Leng Beng and his family are in second place with $16.1 billion and Robert and Philip Ng are in third place with $14.3 billion.

On Forbes’ current profile, Aziz Khan’s wealth is shown as approximately $1 billion. As a result, although he has been dropped from Singapore’s top 50 richest list, he is still positioned on the list of the world’s billionaires.
